HELP WITH DOWNLOADING MEET INFORMATION & MEET SETUP FILES

In the Meet Packet column ENTRY INFO links are to Adobe Acrobat PDF files.  You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program to view these files.  Visit http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html to download this free program.

The word "ZIP" in the MEET SETUP column means that the team sent in a meet setup file put in ZIP format by Hytek.   Entering teams can import this file into Team Manager and save time by not having to setup the meet event numbers/descriptions.  If the host did not submit a setup file for importing, the entering team can simply do it manually.

To DOWNLOAD the setup file file you should "right click" (i.e. use the right mouse button) on the link.  Then choose "Save Target As . . ." from the popup menu that appears.  Remember where you save this file.

Open your TM and click on FILE, then IMPORT then MEET EVENT and click on the file you downloaded.

We ask our hosts to submit .zip files, but some send us the .hyv file.  IF a meet setup file should end in .hyv, when you "Save Target As...", Windows will default and save the file with an .htm file type extension.  You will HAVE TO RENAME the file extension to .hyv before TM will accept it to import.

If you "right click" on the file you saved/downloaded and Windows allows you to rename the filetype extension (the .htm part), simply change that to .hyv.

IF Windows does not allow you to re-name the extension/file type, you have to change a setting in Windows.  Go to START - MY COMPUTER - TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - VIEW - scroll down to the toggle box for HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES.  UN-TOGGLE (no check-mark) for that box.  Click APPLY.  Then, when you "right click" on your file type, you should be able to remove the .htm (the .hyv should be there) and then you can import into TM.

GOOD LUCK!
