HELP WITH MEET PACKETS

DON'T USE THE LATEST AND GREATEST FORMAT!  If you just upgraded to the latest and greatest version of your word processor, assume that the conversion programs won't know how to handle your cutting edge format for at least two or three years.  So before you send it, tell your hot new word processor to save it into an old format that is at least two or three years old.

DON'T USE UNUSUAL FONTS!  When you find some cute, fuzzy font on your hot new word processor and you just fall in love with it and you want to spice up your entry letter with it -- DON'T.  It's likely that the conversion program won't recognize your fringe font, and so your posted entry letter will get trashed in the conversion.  Just stick to the tried and true five fonts that almost every system has - Arial, Courier, CG, Times, and Univers.

DON'T USE YOUR WORD PROCESSOR LIKE A TYPEWRITER! If you treat your word-processor like a typewriter and use spaces and tabs to achieve horizontal placement, and returns to achieve vertical and page placement, it is likely that what gets posted to the Web Site won't look anything like what you thought you sent.  That is because the page margins on my system and most other systems, aren't exactly the same as they are on yours, nor will my tabs be set the same, nor will a space be exactly the same width.  You need to abandon "typewriter thinking" and learn to use the horizontal and vertical placement tools built into every word processor.
